No need to justify cost of The Noize . You and Chris have invested countless hours creating and producing an invaluable reference guide for hardcore Slade fans at a fair price and you are to be commended. It wasn't done for money; it was a labor of love and I, for one, greatly appreciate your ...

Amazon UK have dropped the price of the hardback from £40 to £25.20 - get it while that price lasts!! It will end up going back up.
If you have paid £40 or equivalent for it, you can do a return on the basis of the price going better and re-order at cheaper price.

Received on Saturday. I'm up to 1972 and appreciate the additional info that the interviews along with yours & Chris's research has uncovered.
Well done, lads!

Order placed!

Ian,

Amazon U.S. says in stock soon. Price is $55. Is that accurate?

Too much of a "get off my lawn" vibe for me. In this case, Alice Cooper's new song Shut Up And Rock would be an appropriate review!

Thanks for that link Goyer. Excellent, and well deserved, review by Ken Sharp. Nod interview pretty good as well.

I found Don's book to be a bit depressing. It seemed like he kept repeating mistakes in his personal life.

If Gered published book of his Slade photos I would definitely be on board.

Same here and for The Noize as well.

Not sure why they would promote Nod's signature without a sample page with Slade on stage at MOR.

Thanks Ian. Received mine last week and devoured the new info. Kudos to you & Chris.

Looking forward to receiving a copy. Will notifications be sent upon shipping?

Photos are good and your anecdotes and insights enhance the presentation.
The common thread I saw in most of the pictures is how hard the band worked; they were almost always drenched in sweat. Whether playing a chicken in the basket or a concert hall they clearly gave it their all. Well done.

My copy arrived today and upon initial inspection it looks great. Many thanks for another excellent contribution to the Slade library Ian.

Order placed.

Finger tips are poised over the keyboard and ready to place an order!

Ordered. With this and Six Days On The Road October brings some excellent Slade treats.

I heard a rumor that Chris has contacted his lawyer to have the writing credits on the front cover "single" changed to Selby/Edmundson!

Daryl Easlea's review in Record Collector as follows -

5 stars.

Wot they dun is simply Crazee.

As niche as you'd want it to be, The Noize - a forensic examination of Slade's career - is quite superb. Of course, it is written with a fan's zeal, and both Edmundson and Selby - two of the country's ...

The opportunity to hand Nod the book in person will come up at some point.

Solid plan. It eliminates the middleman and guarantees delivery to the intended recipient.
