A gentle reminder to all members to read and then abide by the forum rules.
There are very few of them and it would be appreciated if members would take a special note of the privacy rules.

Every now and again, people get a bit steamed up about something that's been posted on here and start beating their chests about it, thinking that only their opinion has any value and there is something wrong with people who think otherwise. That, to a degree, is human nature and I suspect a number of us have done this somewhere at some point.
However, this forum is meant to be a safe space, and when I get PM's saying that it doesn't feel like it, then I have to do something.
I would like to remind everyone of FORUM RULE #1 which is viewable at app.php/rules

Play nicely. Aggressive posts towards each other may result in your removal from the forum. Please try to stay on topic. Respect each other and the band. Posts insulting a member of the band will result in the topic being closed. Keep politics to the Off Topic area.
If someone has a different opinion to yourself, please do not shoot them down, belittle them or insult them.
Let's try being tolerant of something someone else says.
I hate being dragged in as referee when people get heated.
I can turn on post approval for individuals, meaning that their posts will not appear until i have inspected and approved them.
That causes me work and I don't like it.
If this forum stops being a safe space, then it will be replaced with a Facebook group.

THE FORUM RULES
The forum rules state clearly that there should be no conflict between members on this forum.

We are (nearly) all men 'of a certain age' and should know how to behave.
We are here to reminisce about a pop group we all liked until they split up in 1992.
When people start waving their fists on here and acting like keyboard warriors and insulting people it makes me wonder why I have just spent about £200 on web hosting for the next year to keep the forum open. I have cats to feed and other crap to put up with.
As of today - 17.2.2025 - people who decide that they need to throw wobblies in any area of the forum will lose access to it.
I'm giving people ONE WARNING TODAY.
Play nicely or begone.

These rules are disclosed to clarify the various responsibilities of all community members here on . They shall be adhered to by everyone to ensure that our board runs smoothly and provides a fun and productive experience for all of our community members and visitors.

All competitions on this forum to win whatever swag is available are only open to forum members. Those entering competitions must have made a minimum of three posts on the forum. Please don't join this forum just to win something and then never come back.
4 FLOG IT - OR NOT
No selling is allowed on here on any sites without proper payment protection. Ebay and Amazon, etc, are ok.
5 PRIVACY
THIS FORUM IS MEANT TO BE A SAFE SPACE FOR ALL CONCERNED.
The group's (and all of their families) current addresses are private. They will tell you their addresses if they want you to know where they live. No posts are allowed re any property that they currently own. No posts are allowed re property that they have previously owned, unless it is in the national press.
SNITCHES GET STITCHES
All of the members of this forum should also be able to expect total privacy. Whatever is posted on here should basically stay on here. Quoting members posts elsewhere will result in your removal from the forum. Running off squealing to certain not-rights to report what is said on here will result in your removal from the forum.
6 WHAT THE ADMIN DOESN'T DO...
Please do not ask the forum admin to put you in touch with any group members, past or present. Please don't ask the admin to value your records - look on Ebay or Discogs. We do not have spare copies of any Slade books.
7 THOU SHALT NOT SHARE OVERLY-WATERMARKED YOU TUBE CLIPS
Those are posted by the numpties of this planet just to annoy people. Please do not post any such pointlessly butchered crappy videos, or links to them. If you do, they will be removed and post approval will be imposed for a period. #
