I think it's in George Tremlett's The Slade Story, where it's stated that the song the Lea family were listening to, when Jim's mother-in-law asked him, "Why don't you write a song like that?" was White Christmas recorded by Bing Crosby.

The 2019 Convention edition NEARLY had this cover, but we decided to keep it back, just in case we ever did a second edition. So only a couple of proof copies exist. As you all now know, we returned to the design.
