Pleasantly surprised when this came out a few years back. I snapped up a copy from Amazon quick smart as at that time I was yet to read the "bible" (Feel The Noize).

I know this book has copped some flak, and if I recall correctly there were some errors, but I felt that overall it was a pretty fair effort and I'm please to have it.

Moved back into the main forum to pick up some ratings and discussion.

Never seen this book, when was it published then?

Very poor book.

Alas has told me that was major interference with the book and he took legal action over it to get it off the shelves after 20,000 words were removed.

I feel a lot more forgiving, now.
Knowing that has made me feel for him as he really tried to write a decent book.

That's a shame. He seems a genuine fan and the book that came out under his name was pretty dire.

It's not a bad book, as such. The pictures are good, and the graphics/layout. The text's quite good - it's just a bit short.

I agree, and with the Charlesworth biog long out of print (and hard to get) this was surely the next best thing for Slade fans who didn't have anything else.
