The Three

The Three

Ian - bass (ex Kerbcrawlers) and Ian - guitar (ex Riff Raff, AIM) previously played together in a band called Mother's Ruin. Graham is well-known as the drummer with RCA-signed band Shabby Tiger, which toured Europe quite regularly, seeing as they were having chart hits there, even being supported by some snotty little Southern upstarts calling themselves The Sex Pistols.

The band came together when Ian joined on guitar to replace a departing member of an existing jam night band. The new trio first played together on 24th January 2016. They enjoyed playing together, thought they really had something as a trio and decided to make this their main priority at the start of 2017 and to give up their other bands. After what could maybe have been a quick discussion, the highly imaginative band name The Three was settled upon. The band put together a setlist of songs that they had always wanted to play. There were not going to be any that people wouldn't remember, or need a music degree to understand. It was going to be fun. New ideas and requests quite often make it into the set... unless you want Ed Sheeran or Meatloaf.

Bassist Ian sacked his defective old band in September 2016 and The Three started off playing full live shows the weekend straight after that.. Fortunately, the gigs came in thick and fast, as they have contacts and are often approached by venues. As a result of some hard work, crafting a good, fun set and playing some great shows, always getting re-bookings, the band did 110 shows in 2017 and even a nice bit of prime-time TV work (Kay Mellor's Girlfriends on ITV) and topped their 2017 2018 and 2019 gig totals in 2020, until COVID struck. We will see you on the road, as soon as it is safe.
