Re: NODDY HOLDER - WHO'S CRAZEE NOW?
Thanks to the wonder that is the world wide web, I actually was aware that this book was forthcoming and had it preordered on Amazon.
Really enjoyed it, but also felt it was very light weight and intended for a family audience (the infamous coffee table incident being the sole exception). The bottom line though for me is that it's really Nod just being Nod via a ghostwriter; "... we were great we were. Six number ones, 18 top ten hits. We were all great mates. Jim and I wrote 'em and Dave sold 'em - well that's what Dave used to say ..." etc etc.
Very much looking forward to Don's biog by Lise.

I thought the book was so so. The first chapters about Nods upbringing in the post world two was very interesting.
The first steps into the musicbusiness was also interesting. But the Slade years didnt really add anything to my knowledge that I didnt know before. And I also got the feeling that he didnt want to step on anyones toes. What really disappointed me was the last chapters about the 80´s. He almost doesnt mention the years from 81-87. And the last chapters were more like " oh by the way, we split up". Lets hope that Don´s book will reveal more.

This was not bad but lacking any real details. Most of it was the usual Rent-A-Nod' stuff and the lean years was poorly reported.

Tho i do like this book.It seem to end far too quickly. We got to reading and then
it was time for his, close up.Its was like 2or 3 chapters were missing. As i say it was an enjoyable read
but Dons was far better.
