Ohhhh.

It's looking pretty much finished. I need to go over it with my co-author, who has been missing in action for a while, to sign it off. Then I will load it into Amazon self publishing and see what it will cost.

8.5" x 11" glossy paperback with colour pages.
Will only be available via Amazon.

Checking it over now before uploading it and finally pressing buttons to get costs.
You're all going to like it.

The title is still secret... :)

Re: ANOTHER NEW SLADE BOOK

I have sent what I HOPE is the finished book to my co-author to proof read over the next day or two. We are going to do our final proof read and the final fixes over the next couple of days, then upload it to the Amazon site.

There are 212 pages. I have dumped the foreword as it is unimportant. The book is unauthorised.

Once I am happy with how the book preview looks on the Amazon site, I will get three proof copies (one will be available as a launch competition prize for Slade Forum).

I really have no idea at all how much the book is going to cost at this point.
Severe editing has taken place to cut the number of pages, but not to the point where any content is lost. We will only know the book cost when Amazon's self-publishing thing tells us what it is. There will be some money for the authors, but this book is about getting it out there, not making huge amounts of money. My photo books didn't keep the heating on - my band did!!

Once we have read that til we are sick of it, we will make it available.
Should be during February.
Woohoo.

Next images will be THE FINISHED PRODUCT - all 212 pages of it.
Not allowed to do any more teasers, now.

Trying to keep the purchase price as sensible as possible.
This is not about the money.

That Slade book thingy.

Post by admin »

The Slade Discography book that my co-writer and myself have been working on looks likely to be out in FEBRUARY via Amazon - any territory - (it will not be in any shops).

We are currently at the approval stage, where we get our draft copies. Exciting times.
Who's interested?

Post as well as vote, pleeze.

All I have to do now is press the orange button.

The book will be sold print on demand via Amazon.
It's the only way for us to do it, really.

When I did the planning for the first photo book, I learned an invaluable lesson.
If I had had 100 copies printed and sent to me, I would have had to have sold them, before getting on with the second one. I would still have most of them propping a door open in the house. There would have been no second book.

Print on demand, means I don't have to lay out money I don't have for any stock.
There is no stock - they are printed to order. The only copy I ever see is my own copy, as the company that people are going to order from do the postage and customer service. No lost copies, no hassle.

Doing it on Amazon means someone in America or Australia can order it and it is printed over there and posted over there. No long waits, import taxes and stuff like that.

You do not have THE POWER, obviously.

I do, however, and I will be pressing it very soon. :)

Ooh - I like the mention of how they're printed in the US for people in the US. Because that means it should be much more affordable, which means there's a really good chance I can get i!
