Super document of the recorded history that is slade. Will take a bit of reading lots of tit bits in the text.
If a book can get so much interest. Just think what a new cd or tour with the classic line up.

The Noize arrived last night (Amazon delivered on a Sunday evening!) and I quickly read the Slayed, WHTS and SAV2 sections and found them to be well written, researched and presented. Additionally, the unique observations I was hoping Ian and Chris would provide were very informative. I like the way each of the albums were analyzed on a song by song basis with insightful comments on musicianship and composition. Well done gentlemen, The Noize definitely delivers the goods!

Bl00dy Amazon. Book looks fab at a first glance.
Shame the box it arrived in (with some other books) was already partly ripped open....the back cover ended up being slightly bent. Not damaged enough to return, but still a bit grrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrr
Delivery feedback left, will feedback on the book when I've had a proper look

Still to fully read in it's entirety (there's a lot to get through), but I have to congratulate both you Ian, and Chris on a first rate book which gives us fans what we have wanted for years. A most definite ten out of ten. Well done guys, very professionally done.

My only gripe and it is a small one which has nothing to do with the authors, but with the printers is that several of the pages at the front of the book are slightly out of alignment, which makes the text look a bit pissed on the page. It may just be that as it was a early printed copy, it that slipped through the net before the printers could correct the problem. Anyone else noticed this in their copies?

If it is misprinted, contact Amazon. It is a printing error on their part. They should replace it.

My comment was not accepted by Amazon France, so I sent it to Amazon UK, here's what I had to publish: A Bible for all fans of the Slade group

This discography concerns all Slade records since 1964 to today, it was directed by 2 English fans, it is a bible of wealth for all fans, all record releases a year with photos and history for each title ! I highly recommend this book. And I received the same answer from Amazon UK I order the book in England and he refuses my comment.I do not understand.

Wonder if it's something automated and doesn't like the word bible as that could mean it's something religious so against their rules.
(I'm only guessing..as assume they can't manually read all feedback)

The text on this page was paid out like this intentionally.

It's got nothing to do with how you set it out Ian, more to do with how the paper was cut or the printer alignment.

For example your "The Steve Brett Releases" headline starts about 10mm down from the right top of the page. If you follow that line along to the left, it would be more like 5mm down from the top. I haven't counted how many pages are like this, but it is certainly over 30 or 40, maybe more.

Well said SEUBY
I love all about this book ..
The way you can travel trough the years and what I’ve realised by reading this is book is ,
I’m not alone
From about ‘75 to ‘81 I felt very alone as a Slade fan
Nobody at my school or even in my Town liked Slade they would all scoff or say they liked them but have moved on and I really didn’t understand that .
Slade were still putting out good stuff and this book reliterates that feeling I had as a teenage Slade fan .
It’s strange to think that I thought I was the only kid in the land that loved Slade as much as I did and still do ..
But this book smashes that and ties in with those years in the wilderness, I wasn’t alone just out on a limb keeping the Slade fires burning in my area
Thankyou Guys really love the book
10/10 for me

I do want to hear what people say about the book - what they are happy with and what they think is wrong. It is possible to update it.

The copies I ordered for friends recently do not have the spaces at the top of the pages. That was an amazon printing error.

Sorry for only giving 9 out of 10 that’s onlt because of the type error about Eastnor castle being named in Leicestershire and not Herefordshire

the book was delivered on Saturday February 9th @ 2pm, I read as far as 1980 and completed the rest on Sunday 10th ! A labour of love by Ian and Chris, one query I have is that "Noize" went in at #1 on 27th February 1973, I still have my ticket from Manchester Hardrock it was a Tuesday as DLT did the chart run down at lunchtime. Nod said " we had a bit of news today" they played Noize 5th song in......
Good to see Jim's answer to one of my questions about Slade in USA post RRA success/his unfortunate illness, still not convinced the band would have returned to promote the album/Rogue's Gallery.
Twas an enjoyable read and well done to all concerned [a Slade novel next ? ]

The noize #1... They knew the single was #1 that day as their advance sales figures outstripped the rest of the singles in the charts and were confident to announce it.
